This work, Full Moon over Mount Bunninyong relates to Autumn Moon at Ishiyamadera in Hiroshige's series. The full moon rises in the evening sky over a rocky outcrop. I put in a few extra moons just to make sure. A mountain suspiciously similar to Fuji san glows in the moonlight. This was the second work I created for the series. I kept seeing old dead trees around Ballarat - the remnant of once lush bush and forest that used to cover the area before English settlment and consequent destruction. This old stump is a stark reminder and the multiple moons are there as witnesses.
